Live Match-up

Inspired by the memory match-up game, Live Match-Up is a video sculpture featuring a screen with small openings. By opening them, viewers reveal a mix of live streams and pre-recorded videos from international online cameras. The work turns the spectator into a player of a match-up game that cannot be won, interrogating the notion of “live” in art and highlighting a mediated liveness - showing thus that even so-called live feeds are never fully real-time.
